De ahí que haya defendido la recuperación de la llamada Memoria Histórica impuesta por el Partido Socialista desde su llegada al poder en 2004. Este trabajo tiene como objeto demostrar que ese silencio no se dio ni en la sociedad ni en El País. Se habló y mucho sobre ese periodo de la historia, y desde el punto de vista de los perdedores de la Guerra Civil. También se demuestra que el periódico defendió entonces que no se utilizara la Guerra Civil en el debate parlamentario para facilitar la nueva convivencia democrática. Lo contrario de lo que hoy apoya.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: small; font-family: Arial;">_____________</span></p><p><strong><span style="font-size: small; font-family: Arial;">ABSTRACT:</span></strong></p><p>The newspaper El País has been supporting for these years the idea that since The Transition there has been a silence about the Second Republic, the Civil War and the Franco regime that has been unfair to the losers of the Civil War. That is the reason why this journal has defended the recovery of “Historical Memory”, imposed by the Socialist Party from coming to power in 2004. This work seeks demonstrate that there was that silence neither in society nor El País. On the contrary, they spoke a lot and they did it from the viewpoint of the losers. This text also seeks to show that El País defended during The Transition not to use the Civil War in parliamentary debates in order to facilitate democratic coexistence. This is the opposite of what is now supported.</p> |
