| Summary: | The article defines the basics of quality management in higher education in our country, given the opinions of scholars about the definition of quality in higher education, analyzes the main trends in the development in the area. Based on the analysis of indicators of inefficiency of institutions and their branches concludes that, in assessing the effectiveness of higher education institutions should be assessed the result of the university, the quality of expert knowledge, which he produces, their actual relevance.
