Summary:Divorce is not a phenomenon that occurs suddenly; it is a process that begins with the onset of the couple's common life. The purpose of this article is to discover processes in common life that lead to the decision of a woman and / or husband to divorce. In this paper, the narrative and narrative interview technique has been used. The interviews were conducted with couples who came to the centers of the welfare crisis intervention center in Mashhad, and eventually received an overwhelming saturation with 18 interviews. In this study, we have come to the conclusion that six models of divorce process can be distinguished, one or more of which can be found in a family. Six models of divorce process are: heterogeneous marriage model, forced marriage model, immature marriage model, male-model family model, low-income family model, and unpopular family model.
