Theauthors’ approach seeks toexplain theserelations through four variables: changes in theBrazilian domestic policyandchancellery, changes intheArgentinedomestic policyandchancellery, issues relatedtothebalanceof power between thecountries andeconomic concerns betweenthem. Thesystematizationof thesevariables implies theperiodization of bilateral relations in three phases duringthe study period, in which one can identifythe strengthening of conflict pressures and the weakening of domestic factors that boosted cooperation. |
