Description
Summary:Apexification is a treatment protocol well recognized and accepted by clinicians worldwide for the management of an immature tooth with necrotic pulp. With the advent of newer biomimetic and bioactive materials in the market, these treatment protocols have succeeded in achieving more predictable, successful treatment outcomes. The case report details the successful treatment of a 33-year-old male patient with nonvital maxillary central incisor that had open apex, with biodentine for apexification procedure, and 1-year follow-up exhibiting progressive involution of periapical radiolucency and satisfactory healing of the periapical tissues.
