Description
Summary:The aim of this article is to contribute to the reflection about the integration of sustainable development in all disciplines of Québec’s higher education. The experience of the Centre universitaire de formation en environnement (CUFE) of Université de Sherbrooke is inspiring in many ways. This article first describes its administrative structure, programs, pedagogical approaches and the student engagement. A discussion then relates environmental training at the CUFE and the integration of sustainable development in all programs. The multidisciplinary and integrated management of the programs, the pedagogical support for teachers, the wide variety of pedagogical approaches and the student participation to real projects appear to be interesting examples to improve sustainable development literacy in all disciplines.
