| Summary: | <p>Los efectos de la explotación descontrolada de los recursos naturales, han colocado a la humanidad al<br />borde de la extinción. La concientización de esta situación por la comunidad internacional, se ha materializado<br />en un gran número de países, incluida Cuba. Entre las medidas implementadas en el pais, está el incremento<br />en la explotación de las fuentes de energía a partir de recursos renovales, así como en la eficiencia<br />de su uso. En el trabajo se analizan dos de las tecnologías de gasificación de biomasa en estudio, para<br />ser implementadas en Cuba, a corto plazo, para la generación de electricidad, y se propone otra para su<br />aplicación a menor escala.</p><br /><p>The effects of the historical over exploitation of the natural resources have placed the humanity on the limit<br />of its extinction. The magnitude of this situation and its degree of advance, has been taken into account for<br />the majority of the international community, and it has been materialized an important number of solution to<br />mitigate this situation in a great number of countries; included Cuba. Among the measures implemented in<br />Cuba, it is the increment in the exploitation of the energy sources, from renewable resources, as well as in<br />the efficiency of their use. In this work are analyzed, two of the gasification technologies of biomass, that<br />are in study, to be implemented in Cuba, in a short term, for the electricity generation and its intends<br />another for their application to smaller scale.</p>
