Summary:Occurrence is reported from the region of the city of São Paulo, southern Brazil, of two euglenoid flagellates (Euglenophyceae). These are very rare, and thus very poorly known members of the class: Scytomonas major (Berliner) Lemmermann and Scytomonas pusilla Stein var. sarmatica Drezepolski. Two species - Gyropaigne brasiliensis C. Bicudo & D. Bicudo, sp. nov. and Phacus ephippioiaeus C. Bicudo & D.
