Summary: | Ethics or chaos- that's the challenge surrounding us. To redeem the potentialities of life and not to submit to the forest of symbols created by the agents of instrumental reason, it's necessary to face a politics of resistance, which must be complex and able to redeem hominization and humanization. The "ethics of planetary understanding" plays an important role in this new paideia, once ethical knowledge can not be conceived as mere abstract propositions, but rather as a deliberate attitude of all those who still believe that it's possible for democratic open societies to be solidary, even with the roughness of the way and the dismay of others. Perhaps literary travelers, the ideal agents of this anthropolitics, because they run through earth free of limits and resentment, may contaminate politicians and intellectuals and thus produce a revolution in thinking unparalleled in the history of the planet.
