Thus it is of great importance to conserve the cultural heritage of Ankara, which has grown from a small settlement at the founding of the Republic, into Turkey’s second mostpopulated metropolis since it was designated Capital. The aim of the study is to demonstrate the physical and social change that was the result of the conservation work conducted in Hamamönü, which is a part of Ankara’s urban cultural heritage. |
