description In the context of the reign of Ferdinand VII and the Latin American Independence, Juan Germán Roscio’s anti-liberal thinking is analyzed, with particular regard to El triunfo de la libertad sobre el despotismo (1817) and the Homilía del Cardenal Chiaramonti (1817).
