description The standing tree sales method is a sales method used in Türkiye as well as all over the world. The Standing Sales Regulation, which first came into force in 1996, has been amended several times. However, the effects of these amendments are not clear. Although the amendments made with the enactment of Decree No. 6877 were aimed at solving the existing problems, it is unclear whether this amendment really solved the problems or not. This study sought to determine how the changes made by identifying the differences between Decree No. 6521 and Decree No. 6877 affect all stakeholders in the standing sale mechanism and whether the problems have been resolved. For this purpose, the opinions of the stakeholders were obtained by means of a questionnaire survey conducted among forest cooperatives, forest villagers, employees of forest enterprises and enterprises processing wood-based products in the Kastamonu Regional Forestry Directorate, which was defined as the study area. Face-to-face interviews with the stakeholders were used to collect the data. Percentage and tabular methods were used to express the opinions of the interest groups, and the Kruskal-Wallis analysis and Mann-Whitney U test were used to determine whether their opinions on the changes differed. The study's results indicate that the recent regulatory changes have influenced interest groups in varying ways. The yield percentage calculation has improved, but transportation issues remain continuous. The compulsory employment of Forest Engineers in standing sales is not accepted except by forest enterprises. In addition, in the production of forest products, the employment of workers from outside the region where production takes place is not accepted by other interest groups except the forestry administration, and the production periods should not be fixed but should be determined according to the quantity to be produced.
