Summary:The paper proposes, within the framework of the Reform of General Studies in the Higher Education System of Honduras, that "philosophizing" as an exercise of the talent of reason and critical judgment (Kant 2005), should be the transversal "didactic" axis that, in its educational process, leads future professional citizens to "take care of themselves", to the consciousness of otherness and the cosmos, to seek "the complete alteration of their way of life, the radical metamorphosis of their way of perceiving the world and a new cosmic and physical perspective" (Hadot, 2006).
