description Bee products have been used by humans for thousands of years, and bees have been an integral part of our lives for more than a hundred years. But now in the 21st century, bees face Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD) and bee colonies are sadly in decline. To continue man’s relationship with bees, we must act now to save them. The most urgent problems we need to solve are bee disease and the intensive agricultural insecticide use leading to loss of bee biodiversity. Appropriate management of green spaces in our cities can fight this decline, and this Article therefore explores the possibility of saving bees by Green Infrastructure in the landscape; especially in our cities and urban fringes.
