Summary:We report a rare case of a solitary fibrous tumor of the maxillary sinus with extension into the right pterygomaxillary and parapharyngeal spaces in a 40-year old woman. The patient underwent surgical resection of the right maxilla and removal of the tumor from the pterygomaxillary and parapharyngeal spaces. Histological and immunohistochemical examinations revealed a solitary fibrous tumor with no evidence of malignancy. At the 12-year follow-up, the patient showed no signs of recurrence and disease progression.
