description Yin S, Lin X. Int J Gen Med. 2021;14:27–39. We, the Editors and Publisher of International Journal of General Medicine, have retracted the following article. Following publication of the article, concerns were raised about the duplication of an image from Figures 4 with images from another unrelated article. Specifically, The image for Figure 4H, HSC-1, TIMP3 si, has been duplicated with the image for Figure 7H, HL-60, miR-206 inh+NC, from Wang N, Feng Y, Xie J, Han H, Dong Q, Wang W. Long Non-Coding RNA ZNF667-AS1 Knockdown Curbs Liver Metastasis in Acute Myeloid Leukemia by Regulating the microRNA-206/AKAP13 Axis. Cancer Manag Res. 2020;12:13285-13300. https://doi.org/10.2147/CMAR.S269258. In addition, the images for Figure 2D, 0h and 24h, HSC-1, miR-21 inhibitor have been duplicated with images for Figure 2D, 0h, A431, miR-21 control and 24h, A431, miR-21 inhibitor, respectively. The authors did not respond to our queries and were unable to provide an explanation for the duplicated images or provide data for the study. As verifying the validity of published work is core to the integrity of the scholarly record, we are therefore retracting the article and the authors were notified of this. We have been informed in our decision-making by our editorial policies and COPE guidelines. The retracted article will remain online to maintain the scholarly record, but it will be digitally watermarked on each page as ‘Retracted’.
