description With the advent of new direct-acting antivirals (DAA) for the treatment of Hepatitis C and their possible use in patients with endstage renal disease and kidney transplantation, the possibility of eradicating this infection in this population opens up. If achieved, it would have an enormous clinical effect given the higher rate of morbidity and mortality that this infection causes in such population, either due to its hepatic or extrahepatic complications, where glomerulopathies play a preponderant role. In this article we have focused on reviewing the pu-blished advances regarding the possible pathogenic role of C virus in the endothelial injury of renal patients, its incidence and clinical effect. We have also reviewed the recent KDIGO Clinical Practice Guideline regarding the treatment criteria and the type of regimen recommended in each scenario.
