Increased risk for T2DM positively correlated in these patients with myeloperoxidase activity,level of hydrogen peroxide within neutrophils and BMI. We observed elevation of oxygen-dependent metabolism in neutrophils formpatients with morbid obesity, accompanied with decrease in antioxidant factors, which is suggestive of oxidative stress. |
