In this case, most buildings undergo severe damages and plenty of them totally breakdown which is one of the strongest impacts of a disaster.Egypt is considered as one of the countries that is exposed to unexpected natural hazards as a result of climate change, floods, earthquakes, etc. Thus, the main objective is to find solutions through temporary dwellings for displaced people to help them find an alternative residence.The paper is divided into three parts. First, it explores the fundamentals of design and construction of temporary dwellings based on diverse experiences from different contexts. Second, it analyzes the Nubian resettlement as a case study. Finally, the third part proposes a sustainable model for temporary dwelling solutions that act as a road map for flexible implementation. |
