Description
Summary:The education crisis we are experiencing is part of a series of crises shaking the planet, which seem to be accelerating at the start of the 21st century with the threat of the Anthropocene and pandemics. Thinking about education for a better world seems more necessary than ever. By focusing on education for global citizenship in the context of complex education, with reference to the work of Edgar Morin, our aim in this contribution is to shed light on the challenges facing education today, but also on the ways and a path of hope for outlining a way out of the current world crisis. Our discussion is accompanied by theoretical contributions that provide a better definition of education for global citizenship, complex education, and the training of citizens, linked to field experiments that provide a basis for designing the education of the near future.
