The paper gives the results of studying the rate of congenital malformations in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), which have indicated an increase in its morbidity in the Promyshnennyi and Vilyui group of areas versus other areas where the population is mainly employed in agriculture. It also shows the pattern of congenital anomalies in the Republic. The prevalence of congenital malformations affects infant mortality rates and it is one of the major factors of disability in the pediatric population. |
