Description
Summary:The authors analyzed the literature data on the importance of the content and determination of the endothelial progenitor cells in the blood of pregnant women and newborns. The endothelial progenitor cells reflect the condition of the endothelium, its damage or regenerative capacity and they play an important role in the regulation of vascularization. The number of endothelial progenitor cells and molecular markers regulating their functions in the blood of a pregnant woman and a newborn may be of diagnostic importance for the prediction and diagnosis of pregnancy complications in the mother and perinatal pathology in newborns, which is relevant for the search for methods of targeted correction of these disorders.
