| Summary: | Capitalism is transformed by its own discourses, which are oriented by the mode of production and guide the lifestyle of the society. From the Fordist mode of production to the flexible one, the discourse in urban territories has always focused on urban entrepreneurship guided by the culture as a strategy for accumulation and development. The urban space consists of relationships and processes that define its territoriality and the consequences resulting from this territoriality, such as gentrification. This paper aims to understand the characteristics and socio-spatial practices of different actors, from the appropriation of cultural heritage by capitalism and the formation of a new discourse. The investigation technique is bibliographical, and as a result, there is a possibility of providing a guide to analysis based on the following references: temporal and historical space context (HARVEY, 2005, 2007; SANTOS, 1982); displacement of organizations and densification of networks of interdependencies on creative territories (PECQUEUR, 2009); historical heritage (FLORES, 2006); real estate market installed on the territory (LEFEBVRE, 2011, HARVEY, 2005; BOTELHO 2007); development plan and involvement of the ruling class (VILLAÇA, 2000); ideological discourses and wordplay (VILLAÇA, 2000); actors of the urban space and urban territorialities formation (HARVEY, 2012; CORREA, 1996); actors of the urban space and their strategies formation (TRINDADE JR., 1998; SEDLIN, 2015); gentrification (MACEDO, 2011). |
