description This work, based on the conceptual analysis and systematic reflection of the press, seeks to alert the relationship between political and religious power at the juncture of the wars of independence in the Peru. For this reason, in the theatre of war and revolution, the study of key concepts such as God, Providence, the Lord of hosts, the Christian enlightenment and the same concept of religion, they demonstrate the use of these terms as means of legitimacy of power and authority, this is monarchist, reformist or revolutionary.
