The main goal of this article is to draw attention to how this field of research allows us to think about the problem of the disparity on sentencing as a criminal justice operation pattern. This problem has been identified by many studies, but also by the social re- presentation of the criminal justice. From a literature review on sentencing and an analysis of the main stu- dies identified, this article proposes a new direction to understand the problem of disparity on sentencing in criminal justice and indicates a new subject to be explored as well as new empirical research possibili- ties on sentencing. |
