Summary:A new species of the subgenus Megacyttarus Bigot, 1880 taken from the Caucasian region of Russia (Krasnodar Province) – Rhamphomyia pseudopoissoni sp. n. is described in the paper. Diagnosis. Male: body gold gray pollinose; legs black; hind femur narrowed in basal half, without tubercle on posterior face; hind tibia considerably shorter than hind femur, curved (anterior view) and slightly thickened on apical part; hind tarsus 1.6 times as long as hind tibia; hind basitarsus slightly thickened and curved, with fine anteroventral and posterodorsal setae which are 2 times as long as diameter of basitarsus; second segment thickened, with tuft of long black bristles which are about 4 times as long as diameter of segment; third segment thickened, with similar long bristles; epandrial lamella subtriangular, with rounded apex; phallus arcuate, without S-like basal bend, hooked on subapical part.
