| description | In the paper, the authors analyse the organic system of agricultural production. Organic agriculture is a production system based on the principles of sustainable agriculture. Among other things, the need to integrate three basic aspects of sustainability - social, economic and environmental - is emphasized. In order to meet the economic viability organic production relies heavily on the so-called premium prices for these products. A survey of organic prices in the Republic of Serbia for the period 2012 to 2017 showed that premium prices in Serbia range from 50% to 300%, depending on the type of product and its seasonality. The authors conclude that this is in line with developed markets for organic products. |
