description | This study deals with a number of novels written by women after 2003 to know the extent to which the Iraqi political, economic, social situation has been reflected in these novels and to which extent this situation has affected psychology of women. Furthermore, it focused on the theme of ongoing wars in the life of Iraqis and how to express them from women point of view. The women writers have expressed this theme in a different way from the traditional ones in the novels written by men focused on the idea of struggle, sacrifice and principles for the country sake. Such women focused on the suffering of Iraqis because of such wars and what women suffered in particular, either because of war or the brutality of the dictatorship as the case of Huda, the heroine of the novel entitled "After Love" by Hadiya Hussein. Finally, such women novels expressed the brutality of authority at that time and showed all negative aspects of the ex-regime |
