Description
Summary:The paper discusses the thesis that the basic factor that determines the policy of RS on climate change is defined by the possibilities of cooperation between the countries of the Danube basin. In this regard, it is argued that for RS this is the most important route in international activities in the field of climate change and environment in general - the cooperation with the countries located in the Danube basin. This conclusion is based on an estimate of the significance of the Danube River for the RS, as well as the fact that there are already established forms of cooperation between the countries in the basin of this river, in a way that covers the key water resources in RS. At the same time, it is estimated that the institutionalization of the cooperation between the countries in the Drina River Basin, as well as the harmonization of the national with EU legislation would contribute to the further improvement of the water resource system management in the Danube basin.
