Primary School, Çerkeş Sokağı, Palabıyığın Meyhanesi, Sulu Han, Post Office and Vegetable Market, the aim is to record the totally lost
human and workplace fabric, buildings, beauties and features of Posta Caddesi.
The places of several buildings whose locations are not precisely described in memoirs are identified using architectural books, old
maps and guides of Ankara as well as witnesses of the period. Although a chronological outline of the companies and persons using the
buildings cannot be reached for the long period examined, this article presents information on various time periods within this timeframe about the original and current state of buildings with data supplied by inhabitants of ground floors. |
