Summary:Nowadays, HIV infection remains one of the major threats to global public health. The clinical signs of HIV infection are extremely diverse and associated with many, including rheumatic diseases. This review examines the issue of osteoarticular disorders in HIV positive patients. The article presents a detailed clinical description of individual nosological forms (HIVassociated arthritis, reactive arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, etc.) and considers the issues of differential diagnosis of these diseases. Modern approaches to the treatment of inflammatory joint diseases in HIV infection, including genetic engineering biological preparations are analysed.
