Description
Summary:
This paper rewind us to the origins of the city as a figure and a central element in cyberpunk fiction, from gothic romanticism to contemporary culture and communication. In cyberpunk, romanticism appears as a nostalgic vision of the world specially in the intersection of detective stories and cyberpunk stories. Another important topic of this work is about the feminine side of the city in its relation with the cyberpunk fictions, its dystopic, dangerous and dark trend. We analyze the representation of the Blade Runner (1982) metropolis as an example of this kind of figure.
