| description | The taxonomic list of xylophilous hardflies recorded in the Botanical Garden of PetrSU contains 17 species from 8 families. Insects were collected using barrier traps with aggregation pheromones synthesized by FGBU VNIIKR (bark beetle <em>Ips typographus</em>, common grazer <em>Pityogenes chalcographus</em> and moustache genera Monochamus) during 2018-2021. The family Bark beetles (Scolytidae) is the most numerous in terms of species and number of species. Among them, numerous species include <em>Crypturgus pusillus, Hylurgops palliatus, Ips typographus</em> and <em>Pityogenes chalcographus</em>. In the orchard, these species actively damage conifers in natural stands; no pests have been recorded on introduced plants (genera <em>Abies</em> Mill., Juniperus L., <em>Larix</em> Mill.). |
