Description
Summary:The beginning of the modernist novel is been manifested by the increasing interest in the narratives that deal with the character’s private life. The classic omniscient narration gives the place to the progressive development of self-consciousness, in terms of response to the «realist» desire of the 19th century. In this manner, the stream-of-consciousness novels narrate the flux of thoughts, ideas and feelings of characters who think about themselves in relation to the world. Hélène Lenoir novels follow this tendency. They are constructed around the intimacy of characters distressed by their family relations.
