| Zusammenfassung: | In order to make more efficient use of limited opportunities and resources and to combat competition infringements more effectively and in a short time, the competing authorities all over the world are trying to make effective the struggle against new tools as well as ordinary investigation methods. In settlement which is one of the most important of these methods, by accepting a breach of the undertakings that violate the competition and at the same time by accepting a reduction in penalties, the relevant authority agrees and the investigation processes are closed early. Along with American law, which has the most established history of practice, the settlement institution, which has been widely applied in the EU competition law that has been enshrined in Turkish competition legislation for the last 10 years, is not a regulated method in Turkish competition law yet but in the resolution related with change to be made in protection law of competition, settlement institution takes place. |
