Description
Summary:Human obesity is a multifactorial disease (except few monogenic cases) determined by the interaction of predisposing factors, genetic and environmental ones. The purpose of this review is to present some examples of genetic studies in obesity and some of the difficulties bound to these researches : the multiplicity of environmental and genetic factors to be dealt with, the power of population studies, the accuracy of collected phenotypes and the limits of our tools for dealing with this complexity.
