Summary:Latar Belakang: ASI eksklusif makanan yang paling cocok, dapat memberikan gizi yang paling sesuai untuk kebutuhan bayi, melindungi dari berbagai infeksi dan memberikan hubungan kasih sayang yang mendukung semua aspek perkembangan bayi, termasuk kesehatan dan kecerdasan bayi, Menurut WHO, 2016 cakupan ASI Eksklusif di seluruh dunia hanya sekitar 36% selama periode 2007 2014.Penelitian ini bertujuan: untuk mengetahui hubungan Pendidikan dan Dukungan Tenaga Kesehatan dengan ASI Eksklusif di Puskesmas Merdeka Palembang Tahun 2018. Metode penelitian: penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel yang akan diteliti pada penelitian ini adalah ibu yang memiliki bayi yang berusia ≥ 6-24 bulan di wilayah kerja Puskesmas merdeka sesuai kriteria inklusi peneliti. Hasil Penelitian: berdasarkan data univariat didapatkan data dari 29 responden yang memberikan ASI, ada sebanyak 21 responden (72,4%) yang memberikan ASI secara Eksklusif, sedangkan pada kelompok yang tidak memberikan ASI secara Eksklusif sebanyak 8 responden (8%).Ibu yang memberikan ASI Eksklusif dengan pendidikan tinggi sebanyak 5 responden (17,2%), sedangkan pada kelompok yang memiliki pendidikan rendah sebanyak 24 responden (82,8%). Ibuyang memberikan ASI Eksklusif dan mendapat dukungan dari tenaga kesehatan sebanyak 23 responden (79,3%), sedangkan yang kurang mendapat dukungan dari tenaga kesehatan sebanyak 6 responden (20,7%). Data bivariat diperoleh hasil tidak ada hubungan antara pendidikan dengan ASI Eksklusif yaitup value 0,283 dan tidak ada hubungan antara Dukungan tenaga kesehatan dengan pemberian ASI Eksklusif yaitu p value 1,000di Puskesmas Merdeka Palembang. Saran: Untuk petugas kesehatan diharapkan dapat lebih meningkatkan kemampuan konseling dan penyuluhan serta peran aktif dalam keberhasilan program pemberian ASI Eksklusif.   Background Exclusive breastfeeding is the most suitable food, can provide the most suitable nutrition for baby's needs, protect from various infections and provide a loving relationship that supports all aspects of babies’ development, including health and intelligence of baby, according to WHO (2016) Exclusive breastfeeding coverage throughout the world was only around 36% during the period 2007-2014. The sample that examined in this study were mothers who had babies aged ≥ 6-24 months in the working area of Merdeka health center according to the inclusion criteria of the researcher. The analysis carried out was univariate and bivariate data analysis. Result: Based on univariate data obtained data from 29 respondents who gave breastfeeding, there were 21 respondents (72.4%) who gave exclusive breastfeeding, while in the group that did not provide exclusive breastfeeding as many as 8 respondents (8%). Mothers who provided exclusive breastfeeding with higher education were 5 respondents (17.2%), while those who had low education were 24 respondents (82.8%). The mothers who gave exclusive breastfeeding and received the support from health workers were 23 respondents (79.3%), while those who received less support from health workers were 6 respondents (20.7%).Based on bivariate data obtained the results, there was no relationship between education with exclusive breasfeeding, that was p value 0.283 and there was no relationship between health workers’ support with providing of exclusive breastfeeding, that was p value 1,000 at Merdeka health centre Palembang. It is recommended for health workers are expected to be able to improve their counseling skills and counseling as well as an active role in the success of the providing of exclusive breastfeeding program.
