description In accordance with the classical courses "The Theory of Machinery and Machines" and "Machine Parts" for the purpose of simplifying engineering calculations it is adopted to determine total frictional losses in frictional pair without taking into account molecular coupling forces. In the paper by the examples of the existing experimental researches it is show, that the application of such simplified calculation model contradicts the known Amontons-Coulomb Law and results in erroneous representation of the experimental results.
