| description | <p>Se realiza una definición de la obesidad y las formas clínicas de su medición, utilizando los diferentes índices para ello. Se establece una clasificación según el índice de masa corporal y por la distribución, cantidad y tamaño de los adipositos. Se expresan los factores que constituyen riesgo de obesidad, la evaluación de cada uno de ellos y los efectos adversos que produce. Se establece el manejo individual del obeso según los aspectos siguientes: dieta, actividad física, aspectos psicológicos e intervención terapéutica y quirúrgica.</p><p>In this article obesity and the clinical forms of measuring it are defined by using the different indices to obtain it. A classification is established according to body mass index (BMI) and the distribution, abundance and size of adipocytes. Obesity risk factors and their individual assessment are presented along with the adverse effects they may cause. Individual management of the obese patient is established b taking the following aspects into account: diet, physical activity, psychological considerations and therapeutic and surgical intervention.</p> |
