Summary: | Criminal protection of the intellectual property is one of the topics that have gained attention because it is one of the rights given to people in exchange for their intellectual property. This study has addressed the criminal protection of intellectual property to show all the legal frameworks regulating this right to protect it in accordance with international as well as national laws, specifically the Palestinian and Omani, to know the effectiveness of these frameworks in forming a legal framework that leads to the protection of this right. The researcher used several methods, such as descriptive and analytical ones, in order to describe all crimes and penalties prescribed in international and national legal texts and analyze them to come up with realistic solutions that help solve the main research problem. Hence, the study concluded that it is necessary to work on responding to international conventions due to the lack of national legislation to keep pace with international laws. Therefore, the study recommended the necessity of amending Palestinian legislation. As for Omani legislation, the study found that the legislation issued in this regard is sufficient after the Sultanate has taken a set of measures and enacted legislation in addition to amending many laws.
