Summary:Article is devoted to a judgment problem by the person of itself during an antique era. Discrepancy of modern philosophy in understanding of the person in antiquity is defined. Trying to overcome ambivalent interpretations of the person, authors offer considers him through a project prism - realized and not the conscious concentrated ideas, values to which he aspires. Two types of the project created within ancient art - the project political and the project philosophical are allocated. Both projects of the person are based on his essence and values following from essence, such as a debt, a collectivism, patriotism and freedom. The dialectic interrelation between the allocated types of projects and historical reality is shown. Their crisis signs are fixed and reveal. Despite crisis of both projects, their role for the subsequent culture is defined.
