description The subject of inclusion of students with special educational needs is usually linked to a disability and usually students with High Abilities/Giftedness (AH/SD) are not seen as a Special Education audience. To change this reality, this work socializes a research developed in 2021 that proposed that knowledge on the theme High Abilities/Giftedness (AH/SD) be treated from the initial training of teachers, as it is up to them to make the necessary adjustments to develop the potential of these students. Therefore, this work, the result of a master's research, aims to contribute to the initial training of teachers of the Biological Sciences course with regard to the AH/SD theme, through the intervention of a course. The methodology adopted in the research was qualitative in participant modality. The subjects of the research were fifteen fourth-year undergraduates of the discipline of Supervised Internship in Biological Sciences II, of the Biological teacher-training college Unicentro, Guarapuava, Paraná, Brazil. In the analysis of the results, it was noticed that the course contributed of significantly in initial teacher training, broadening the views of participants on the subject the proposal. In general, the undergraduates were positively surprised by their interest in the topic addressed and the significant advances in relation to the concepts and prior knowledge initially demonstrated
