Description
Summary:The global economy cannot be understood without the interaction of smaller-scale economies. We addressed this issue by considering a simplified economic model that still preserves the basic features, and analyzed the interaction of a set of such economies and the collective emerging dynamic. The topological structure of the economies’ network appears to correlate with the collective properties observed. In particular, the strength of the coupling between the different networks as well as the specific connectivity of each node happen to play a crucial role in the determination of the final state.
