The article considers the studies demonstrating the effects of stigmatization and self-stigmatization on distress level, and characteristics of the family system affecting distress. Understanding the mechanisms of increasing stress after suicide and suicidal attempts for relatives of a suicide helps identify targets for an effective post-event. |
