Summary: | This paper presents a Dandelin’s mathematical demonstration theorem, which is more intuitive than a graphical one. The three equations of the plane curves - ellipse, parabola and hyperbola - are obtained particularizing the general conical curves equation. Also, rotation cylinder equation can be obtained from rotation cone equation. Therefore, plane section in cylindrical surface, becomes an ellipse. Some technical applications are presented in the paper using grapho-analytical studies of a rotation conical surface. |
