| Summary: | Character building is very important for the Indonesian people in order to give birth to a strong nation generation. The Naval Academy (AAL) is a boarding school where all of its cadets live and study in dormitories whose full education, both academic, skills and character attitudes are all obtained from AAL. The problem is that some concepts about character have been running, but currently the study load (SKS) of character education has not been accommodated in the curriculum which tends to be concentrated on the formation of professionalism, this results in a stagnant and not dynamic educational processthus causing the phenomenon of a decrease in military attitudes and mental struggle in the cadets, thus causing an effect on the development of the Indonesian Navy's human resources. The purpose of this paper is to redesign the future development of character education for AAL cadets. By using qualitative methods can produce a more comprehensive phenomenon.
