Foram realizadas entrevistas com 124 mulheres em um ambulatório hospitalar de Salvador-Bahia, entre agosto e dezembro de 2007. Os dados foram coletados mediante o teste de associação livre de palavras e submetidos à análise fatorial de correspondência no software Tri deux mots. As mulheres solteiras percebem-se vulneráveis ao HIV e à AIDS utilizando-se do preservativo, enquanto as casadas ou em parceria fixa consideram a prevenção algo necessário para todas as pessoas, exceto para elas mesmas, pois representam a AIDS como a doença do outro.
ABSTRACT
The growth of Human Immunodeficiency Virus/Acquired Immunological Deficiency Syndrome (HIV/AIDS) is expressive among women and in heterosexual. This descriptive, quantitative and qualitative study aims to apprehend and analyze the social representations about the vulnerability of black and non-black women to the infection of HIV/AIDS. Interviews were performed with 124 women in an the ambulatory of Salvador-Bahia, from August to December, 2007. The data were collected through the test of free association of words, and submitted to the factorial analysis of correspondence in the Tri deux mots. The unmarried women perceive themselves to be vulnerable to HIV and AIDS by using the condom, while married women or in partnership sets consider preventing something necessary for all people, except for themselves, since they represent the AIDS as the disease of the other.
RESUMEN
La infección por el Virus de la Inmunodeficiencia Humana/Síndrome de Inmunodeficiencia Adquirida (VIH/SIDA) cresce entre los heterosexuales y entre las mujeres. Este estudio descriptivo, cuantitivo y cualitativo objetivó aprehender y analizar las representaciones sociales sobre la vulnerabilidad de mujeres negras y no negras a la infección por el VIH/SIDA. Participaran 124 mujeres en un ambulatorio hospitalario de Salvador-Bahia-Brasil, entre agosto a deciembre de 2007. Los datos fueron recolectados a través de la prueba de asociación de libre de palabras, sometidos al análisis factorial de correspondencia y procesados en el software Tri deux mots. Se concluye que mujeres solteras siéntense vulnerables al VIH y a la SIDA utilizándose del preservativo, mientras las casadas consideran la prevención algo necesario para todas las personas, excepto para si mismas, pues representan la SIDA como la enfermedad del otro. |
