Summary:Abstract Objective: The present article aimed to review the available quantitative literature focused on exploring the factors associated with pornography use in adolescence. Method: Studies published in English in the last 15 years were searched in PubMed and Google Scholar. The studies obtained on adolescent pornography use were classified into the following categories: (1) sexual behaviors; (2) risky sexual behaviors; (3) sexual permissiveness; (4) perception of sex and gender roles; (5) aggression, violence, abuse, sexual coercion, and victimization; (6) substance use; (7) psychopathology (including problematic pornography use); and (8) relationship with parents/family and peers. Results and Conclusions: The different findings, clinical implications and controversies are discussed.
