The topics are, among others, issues of identity in colonial and post-independence era, regional peculiarities of Mozambican culture(s), the relationship between “European modernity” and “African tradition”, the link between urban and rural areas, the memory of the liberation struggle and of the civil war, as well as particularities of different literary works of the author.
