Description
Summary:During the pandemic, the condition of frailty has discriminated against access to treatment paths, without favouring de-hospitalisation. Architecture has a duty to provide adequate responses to post-COVID housing needs. This proposal collects the results of research on residential models constituting interconnected ecosystem cells in smart neighbourhoods. The goal of the research is to verify the transition towards the smart city, exploiting techno-typological innovation to facilitate overcoming frailty at home. The main results include the evolution of the IDEAs prototype (Intelligent Domestic Ecosystem for an Ageing Society) as a housing model integrated by a system aimed at monitoring and supporting the daily life activities of the frail and elderly.
